Ouch

In LS2 (intro to cells, tissues and organs for all of you non-UCLA folk) last week, the students that I teach had to dissect rats. I overheard one group (girls, of course) exclaim:

"Screw, it, let's just cut off the testicles."

Mind you that this is the weeder class for premeds. I'm sure they're frustrated by the whole dissection process. Yeah, the rats don't smell great, but still - for the sake of my genitals and that of my male brethren - I pray that those three never become surgeons.
